We build capacity and provide resources for startup health entrepreneurs and entities rooted in the health of the communities we serve. We invest in health entrepreneurship: Purpose, Economic stability, and Community members building their own vision of health are core values of Choublak Wellness.
Continuing Education for Local HealthCare Workers
In an effort to increase capacity, build skills, and support (not compete) with the healthcare system and entities in Okap we provide HealthCare Practitioner Training and Workshops on a variety of topics based on community need. Local hospital staff and health care practitioners are invited to attend and create events. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting an event or would like to request a certain topic/skill to be presented by our team.
Community Wellness and Chronic Disease Education
Chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions are increasing in OKAP and often mismanaged due to a lack of understanding about the disease process, the impact of nutrition and lifestyle, and the steps individuals can take to manage their health. While education is just one factor contributing to chronic disease mismanagement, it is a pivotal starting point. At Choublak Wellness, our goal is to empower patients and community members to take control of their health. Through our Community Wellness and Chronic Disease Education programs.
